James Mitchell Gibbs

          James Mitchell Gibbs, 60, of Elk Lick Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Saturday evening February 24, 2024 at his residence.

          James was born June 30, 1963 at Frenchburg, KY, a son of the late James N. and Evie Pergram Gibbs. He was a Marine Corp veteran, former employee of M & M Construction and was of the Christian faith.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta Gibbs.

          Survivors include his wife: Lisa K. Watkins Gibbs, a daughter: Anna Marie Gibbs of Salt Lick, KY, a son: James Cody Gibbs of Hope Mills, NC, 4 grandchildren: Ryder, Skylar and Kayson Hardin and Jonah Hunt, 1 sister: Marida Winters, 3 brothers: Paul Gibbs, Tim Gibbs and John Gibbs. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

          Following James’ request of cremation, there will be no public services.

          Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY, is assisting the family with arrangements.
