Janet Gayle (Karrick) Scaggs

          Mrs. Janet Gayle Karrick Scaggs, 77, of Clear Creek Road, Salt Lick, KY, passed away Monday February 26, 2024 at her residence, with her loving family by her side.

          Janet was born March 26, 1946 at Salt Lick, KY, a daughter of the late Hugh and Bertha Mae Frazier Karrick. She was a retired data processing manager with St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY and attended the Lakeview Community Church.

          Survivors include her husband, Bill Scaggs, 1 daughter, Heather Patton (Charles) of Jeffersonville, KY, 1 son, Billy Scaggs (Connie) of Salt Lick, KY, 1 sister, Donna Barber of Lexington, KY, 1 brother, Joe Karrick (Patsy) of Preston, KY, 5 grandchildren, William Bradley Scaggs, Jr., Benjamin Lee Scaggs, Elijah Caine Hartgrove, Paideia Karrick Hartgrove and Autumn Rose Manning, a special niece, Penny Grimes, a special friend, Pat Skaggs and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

          Visitation will be held Wednesday evening February 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home, Salt Lick, KY.

          Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Community Church, 581 Cave Run Lake Rd., Salt Lick, KY 40371, with Rev. Eddie Dennison officiating.
