Jeannette Mae (Davis) Wells

          Mrs. Jeannette Mae Davis Wells, 97, of Denniston, KY, passed away peacefully Friday January 16, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by family.

          Jeannette was born January 30, 1928, a daughter of the late Elisha and Rose Ella Davis.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Wells, several siblings, 2 sons in law: Vernon Groves and Wendell Back, 2 grandchildren: Jamie Spencer and Regina Johnson, 2 great-grandchildren: Phyllis Dewayna Lawson and John Wayne Back.

          Survivors include her children: Garry (Patty) Wells, Fern Back, Garrett David (Joann) Wells, Fran Groves, George (Joyce) Wells, Darlene (Gene) Samples, Benny (Mitty) Wells, Robin (Cheryl) Wells, Daniel (Bertie) Wells, Bart (Marie) Wells, 28 grandchildren and a host of great and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are 4 siblings: Leonard Davis, Lucille Roberson, Evelyn Fultz and Geneva Maze.

          Graveside services were conducted Saturday January 17, 2026 at 12:00 PM at O.P. Wells Cemetery, Denniston, KY where she was laid to rest beside her husband.
