Ruth Hewitt (Williams) Vice

          Mrs. Ruth Hewitt Vice, 74, of 108 Smoot Drive, Owingsville, KY passed away Monday evening December 8, 2025 at her residence.

          Born May 4, 1951 at Owingsville, KY, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Rosa Lee Carmichael Williams.

          Mrs. Vice was a retired unit secretary with St. Claire Regional Medical Center, she was of the Christian faith and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Bath County Homemakers.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Vice, 2 sisters, Nina Finch and Lola Catherine Vice, a brother, Donald Williams and an infant brother, Charles Williams.

          Survivors include 2 sons, Matthew (Leah) Vice of Sharpsburg, KY and Jason Vice of Owingsville, KY, 5 grandchildren, Michael (Isabelle) Vice, Morgan Vice, Madelyne (Cole) Layton, Will Vice and Justin Hutson, 2 sisters, Bobbie Mae (David) Chaney and Carol Stephens, 1 brother, Jimmy (Nancy Jo) Williams, 2 sisters in law, Louise Dailey and Daisy Stanfield. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be conducted Thursday December 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Owingsville Christian Church with Rev. Greg Whitt and Rev. Lowell Rice officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service in Owingsville Cemetery beside her husband.

          Serving as pallbearers: Taylor Gibbs, Eddie Carter, Jr., Kent Stanfield, Rickey Dailey, Gary Bealert and Chris Crockett.
